Community Food Leaders Forum:
Good, Clean, and Fair Food for Everyone
November 6-7, 2007
Camp McDowell, Jasper, Alabama

Join us for two days of sharing ideas, meeting new people, setting goals, and learning about successful projects and effective ways to improve the way our food is produced, distributed, and eaten. Featuring guest speakers from Alabama and from around the Southeast, including Kentucky’s Community Farm Alliance.

Breakout sessions and speakers on:

CSAs, farmers markets, marketing networks & cooperatives • encouraging new farmers • organic vegetable production • farm energy •
farmland preservation • heritage foods & seed saving • programs for small farmers • value-added products •
food systems work • youth education • community gardens • and more!
 
After the forum, join us at Jones Valley Urban Farm's open house, November 7, 2-5 pm in Birmingham.
 
 Held in conjunction with the 5th Annual Organic Vegetable Production Conference. Sponsored by the Southern Region Risk Management Education Center, the USDA’s Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service (CSREES), Auburn University, the Alabama Sustainable Agriculture Network, and Heifer International.
